Motor insurance holders who are looking to stay safe while on wet roads can now get their hands on a new tyre.

Uniroyal has launched a new rubber that provides extra grip in the wet, which could be of benefit to drivers at this time of the year and also in the winter months.

David White, customer services director at Kwik-Fit, said that many drivers have experienced a loss of traction on wet roads when braking sharply or cornering.

“However, most motorists are unaware that some tyres are especially designed for wet weather performance.
